We’re passionate about wine - and we know you are too! That’s why we wanted to give our customers a chance to get together, share their experiences and let us know what you’re thinking. Hence, the Tesco Wine Community was born.
Who we are
The Tesco Wine Team is a diverse bunch, you might recognise familiar faces from the Tesco Wine Magazine or perhaps from our annual wine fairs, which are our chance to get out and about meeting the people who buy the wine we work hard to get on our shelves!
So, who's who?
Laura, James, Graham and Davy work as a team of five. Together they cover 14 countries looking for interesting wines to offer our customers - they taste their way through all levels of wine, constantly tasting and blending to ensure that only the best examples reach you. All supported by a team of buyers working with suppliers to offer new and exciting wines.
Laura Jewell
Laura has been a Master of Wine for 15 years; only a few hundred people in the world hold this title so it’s a pretty big deal! Laura is also the 13th chairman the WSET, and is also the first woman to hold the post! She’s passionate about encouraging people to try new wines, so she loves talking with members of the Tesco Wine Community about their new discoveries…

James Griswood
James' first job in an off licence whilst at university ignited his love of wine. James has worked at wineries in France, South Africa and Spain. Spanish wines are a real passion, as is cooking so he’s always eager to find the perfect food and wine combinations.
Graham Nash
Graham has spent over 20 years in the wine industry, including grape harvesting in Alsace and Bordeaux. He now concentrates on seeking out new and exciting wines for customers to try.
Davy Zyw
Davy’s first taste of the wine world was with Villeneuve wines in Edinburgh. After working for D&D Bluebird as a commis sommelier, Davy made the move to Brighton to study a Wine Business degree at Plumpton College and then joined La Gavroche as a sommelier. In 2011, Davy joined the Tesco Wines family as our Graduate Product Development Manager.
Lindsey Chadwick
Our newest recruit to the wine team, Lindsey joined Tesco in October 2012. Prior to that she spent a number of years in the restaurant trade sourcing wine for such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall and 02 Arena and working alongside some of the finest chefs in the industry, including Albert and Michel Roux – No surprise then that food and wine matching remains a real passion! Lindsey is responsible for buying Champagne, Sparkling and Fine Wines.
Wine by the case is the way you can buy in bulk online, discover a wider range and also experience the convenience of delivery direct to your door, as such we have a small team who are responsible for getting the wines & our customers to the website.
Nick Juby
Wine has been Nick’s passion for over 30 years. Nick has the enviable job of putting together our mixed cases you’ll find on the Wine by the case, in fact he’s sourced thousands over the years, always challenging himself to deliver a winning combination of great wines at the very best price.
Jo Grudgings
Jo has looked after the marketing of wine by the case for the last 3 years, and in that time developed a real love of New World Sauvignon Blanc’s! As a customer champion, she’s always keen to put customers in touch with the best offers and deals.
Lisa Thomas
Super organised, Lisa’s responsible for social media at Tesco Wines and making sure that the Wine Magazine lands on your door each month! Lisa has a fondness for fizz, with a particular penchant for Prosecco!
Liliane Osborne
Liliane is the Tesco Wine community manager eager to do her best at answering your questions as well as joining in discussions within the community. Each week she uncorks the latest at Tesco Wines, including exclusive competitions for the community to enjoy. Oh and she's a big rose fan too!
