Hi my favourite food and wine combo is a fresh home made king prawn cocktail with green salad leaves, fresh buttered bread/poppy seed roll, and a small portion of chips (if I'm really hungry). The Okahu Bay S Blanc will do just nicely.

By the way the London event would be fine.

You cannot beat Great British Fish and Chips, and I simply must have a portion of mushy peas!
I adore Brown Brothers Dry Muscat with any meal, but especially with this. I would like to attend the Bristol wine fair.

This time of year it has to be Sancerre rose in the garden.
Is the price determined by quality or the name. What other rose would command a similar taste at a reasonable price

Got to be BBQ (regardless of weather !!) with a crisp sauvignon blanc or light merlot (or more likely beer - our fave Peroni !)

Rack of New Zealand lamb with rosemary and red currant sauce, together with buttered baby new potatoes, leeks and petit pois. Goes well with any New Zealand Sauvigion Blanc - whatever is on offer at Tesco!! Makes me hungry just thinking about it....

It's slightly cliched, but I do enjoy a nice cabernet sauvignon with a nice juicy steak. I will be attending the Edinburgh wine fair.

Attending London.
Just finished a celebratory Gonet champagne with crisps and similar snacks. Marvellous. Discovered Gonet at last year's fair.

G-Mex sept 9th and I'm going to be trying out the Chateau Neuf Du Pape. it's my favourite for nearly 30 years since i tasted my first 1983 La Fiole Pere Anselme Chateauneuf du Pape. I wish i had a bottle in my cupboard now!! What a lovely introduction to wine! To accompany this marvellous wine, i'd have to have cold meats although as a hot meal, it would have to be either mussels in tomato sauce or sauteed veal. Either of these are scrumptious with the wine and neither overloads the other. I dont know what Tesco will have to offer, but i can't wait to sample any Chateau Neuf du Pape as it really is a superior wine to all the rest!

(Although my brother never runs if this menu is on offer!)
