It’s time for your weekly dose of wine blogs we love! Each week, we scour the Internet to find our favourite wine blog to share with you. And this week we’re loving… Heather Dougherty!
Now, if the words camping and wine sound like music to your ears, we urge you to read ‘Camping It Up In Style!’ THIS is how camping should always be! An avid believer that your environment makes a huge difference to your wine-drinking experience, Heather embarks on a little “research” of her own to illustrate her point. Cue lots of photographs of mouth-watering homemade food alongside fully topped up wine glasses, against an idyllic landscape, albeit partially cloudy - quintessential Britishness, at its best! And research well done we think!
Heather is columnist for the Surrey Advertiser and has recently been named a finalist in the Regional Wine Writer category of the 2012 Louis Roederer International Wine Writers’ Awards (you can read all her columns in her Liquid Assets blog.)
She’s also a member of the Circle of Wine Writers and Association of Wine Educators, an experienced wine judge at both the International Wine Challenge and the International Wine & Spirit Competition! So we think it’s safe to say she’s more than au fait with the old wine knowledge, and this, combined with her superb writing skills, shines through in her blog, making for a truly enjoyable read!
