What a beautiful week it’s been! Glorious blue skies, blazing sunshine and long summer afternoons for us to finally sip our wine in our gardens and even have a cheeky midweek BBQ too!
And with our huge wine and champagne discount we thought we’d share some wine inspiration from our blog of the week… Grapefan!
Colin Smith’s adventures in the wonderful world of wine include being an IWSC judge, a WSET Diploma graduate and occasional promoter of wines around London trade scene. Sounds like a huge grape fan!
If you’re a Chardonnay fan we recommend reading Colin’s blog on oaked and unoaked Chardonnay – a great read on the heated subject that helps demystify things!
Colin recently reviewed our 12-bottle Spectacular Summer Entertaining Mixed Case, which is currently 50% off at £75 on Tesco Wines by the case! He judges each of the wines and recommends some delicious food pairings along the way.
His top tip? ‘Leave [the Colpasso Nero d'Avola 2010 a while and it develops some pleasing complexity which comes from the fact that a small number of dried grapes are used during fermentation.’ Nice tip!
As well as his blog, you can also keep up to date with Colin’s wine adventures over on Twitter at @grapefan.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Cheers!
